About The Position

Xcel Energy is seeking one or more Machine Operators to report to job sites and travel throughout the service territory, based out of Maple Grove, MN. The starting rate of pay for this position is $53.14 hourly. This position will be posted internally for 10 Working Days from October 1, 2026, through October 14, 2026. Xcel Energy has sole right of selectivity. The role involves operating heavy equipment including but not limited to; backhoes, skid steers, material handlers (all-terrain forklifts), mini-excavators and manlifts. Additionally, loading and transporting the delivery of materials and equipment. The position responds to after-hours and weekend callouts.

Requirements

• Two or more years of operator experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Must have valid Class A Commercial Driver's License.
• Must have total commitment to safety, quality, and customer service.

Nice To Haves

• Experience operating backhoes, skid steers, material handlers (all-terrain forklifts), mini-excavators and manlifts.
