About The Position

Cleveland Steel Container, a World Class Steel Pail and Can Manufacturing company, is seeking an enthusiastic, responsible, and customer-oriented individual that has a positive attitude and shares the values of our company culture, which is built around teamwork, family, honest communication and producing desirable results for our Detroit, MI manufacturing facility. Shift: Mon-Fri 7:00am-4:00pm

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of manufacturing machine operation experience
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • High school Diploma or GED required
  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy and consistency
  • Solid organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly work environment
  • Ability to follow established procedures, safety guidelines, and operational instructions
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Demonstrated initiative and proactive approach to supporting production needs and continuous improvement
  • Flexibility and availability to respond to changing production demands and schedules
  • Ability and willingness to learn product components, materials, specifications, and finished product requirements
  • Reliability and punctuality with a strong commitment to supporting team and production goals

Responsibilities

  • Ability to set up, operate, and adjust manufacturing equipment and tooling to meet production, quality, and efficiency standards
  • Capability to supply production lines with required materials and components to support manufacturing schedules
  • Experience or ability to monitor equipment performance and production parameters to ensure consistent quality output
  • Ability to identify and communicate operational or quality issues promptly to supervisory personnel
  • Willingness to support and guide team members on basic production processes and quality checks
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow established procedures and manufacturing guidelines
  • Willingness to learn product specifications, production processes, machine operations, and quality standards related to the manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented production setting
  • Assist with product packaging and preparation for shipment
  • Support inventory activities and cycle counts
  • Participate in installation or setup of new equipment
  • Assist with receiving and handling raw materials
