About The Position

Big Country Pet Co. is seeking Machine Operators to join their team on the afternoon shift (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM). This role is ideal for someone who is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and looking to grow in a fast-paced production environment. Machine Operators play a key role in packaging high-quality pet products. The company offers a competitive hourly wage with a shift premium, eligible for wage progression up to $24 by 12-months of employment, a supportive team culture with hands-on training, and the opportunity to work with advanced packaging equipment. As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for the setup, operation, and minor troubleshooting of packaging machinery. Level I Operators may be assigned to JDA, Paxium, cup line, and carton line. You will also provide backup coverage across machines and ensure accurate documentation and compliance with food safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate packaging equipment efficiently and safely
• Conduct pre-op inspections and follow production schedules
• Monitor machinery and report issues promptly
• Perform weight checks, lot tracking, and replace packaging materials
• Maintain cleanliness and follow sanitation protocols
• Complete all required paperwork and reporting accurately
• Provide backup coverage across machines
• Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with food safety standards
