The Machine Operator is responsible to operate machines and other equipment in a safe and efficient manner to ensure the proper cleaning and preparation of castings as stated in the OMS/process sheet; efficiently inspect finished work.

Requirements

High School graduate or GED preferred.
Experience in operating machinery and / or mobile equipment.
Ability to read work orders and blueprints preferred.
Must be able to work as a team member collaborating with colleagues.
Basic mathematical calculation experience in adding and subtracting whole numbers, fractions and decimals.

Nice To Haves

Experience in manufacturing or assembly line is an asset.

Responsibilities

Sets up and operates production machinery and/or mobile equipment in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
Maintain and operate with hand and power tools.
Perform physical labor requirements.
Perform regular and basic preventative maintenance checks and tasks.
Maintain required paperwork and documentation of all work performed on equipment as outlined in preventative maintenance program.
Adhere to Nortrak’s Safety, Quality and Environmental Procedures, Practices and Policies.
Model and lead our Nortrak Blue culture and values: (Respect, Responsibility, Curiosity, Courage, Passion, and Diversity).
Perform other duties as assigned.
