About The Position
Willing to train entry level machine operators! The operator/inspector would be responsible for inspecting, sorting and weighing molded plastic parts to ensure compliance with customer specifications. Responsible for any molding job that requires an operator as well as secondary ops. Responsibilities
- Manually operate injection molding machines according to specific MOM instructions when required.
- Record molded part quantities on job traveler and enter data into Epicor.
- Report any quality or mechanical issues that may develop to the Production Supervisor or Mold Tech.
- Perform any in-process operations such as, trim, pack etc., per specific MOM instructions.
- Perform post molding operations per specific MOM instructions.
- Inspect manufactured parts for conformance to specifications.
- Record and remove nonconforming product by defect type per part specification.
- Notify supervisor of excessive defects on any particular component.
- Count, weigh and record number of accepted parts.
- Count, weigh and record number of rejected parts.
- Ability to read and understand job travelers to determine inspection specification and inspection requirements.
- Process documentation associated with rework and nonconformance manufactured products.
- Speak to others to convey information effectively.
- Use logic and reasoning to identify alternative solutions to problems.
- Must be able to work overtime as needed
- Other duties as assigned
