About The Position

The AAC Machine Operator II operates and monitors AAC production lines to support safe, efficient, high-quality production. The role includes inspecting equipment, performing basic troubleshooting and approved adjustments, verifying processes, conducting quality checks, documenting production, and supporting continuous improvement. The Machine Operator II also serves as a resource for Machine Operator I employees and works with technicians, engineers, quality personnel, and supervisors to maintain line performance.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Minimum 1–2 years of manufacturing or machine operation experience.
Ability to follow written work instructions, procedures, and production documentation.
Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to use inspection tools, gauges, and production monitoring systems.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Consistent attendance and reliability.
Ability to meet production and quality targets and complete production documentation accurately.
Ability to identify and appropriately escalate equipment or process issues.
Ability to support and train less experienced operators.

Responsibilities

Operate and monitor AAC automated assembly equipment according to work instructions, quality standards, and safety procedures.
Inspect equipment daily and complete startup, shutdown, and shift checklists.
Monitor line performance, product quality, and process stability, and identify and report abnormalities, defects, and equipment issues.
Perform trained troubleshooting and corrective actions, including clearing jams, replacing consumables, resetting faults, and making approved machine adjustments.
Escalate unresolved equipment, process, or quality issues through established procedures.
Conduct in-process inspections and verify products meet specifications and workmanship standards.
Maintain production records, downtime documentation, quality checks, and shift reports.
Ensure materials, components, and tooling are loaded, staged, and available for production.
Support product changeovers and line setups as directed.
Assist with preventive maintenance, line cleaning, and 5S activities.
Train and support Machine Operator I employees on procedures, safety requirements, and best practices.
Participate in continuous improvement, waste reduction, productivity, and quality initiatives.
Support safety, quality, productivity, scrap reduction, and equipment uptime goals.
Cover line operations during breaks, absences, or increased production demand.
Comply with company safety, quality, environmental, and operational policies and procedures.
