Machine Operator II
About The Position
The Machine Operator II performs a variety of semi-skilled manual duties requiring knowledge of techniques, tools, equipment, and safety precautions. The role adheres to the general safety plan and may involve other duties as requested by a supervisor. This position operates in an environment where safety, environmental, and health concerns demand constant attention, requiring strict adherence to corporate and/or plant policies. The employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, vibration, and loud noise levels. Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Basic arithmetic skills
- Ability to read and understand a tape measure
- Ability to read and interpret part drawings
- Ability to understand conversions from inches to decimals
- Ability to understand weights and measurements on a scale
- Ability to read and interpret thermometers and pyrometers
- Strong sense of urgency in meeting customer needs and internal deadlines
- Team Player
- Self-motivated
- Detail oriented
Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot various pieces of equipment, including various types of presses, CNC, and other basic machinery.
- Perform die maintenance.
- Conduct daily quality control tests of foam.
- Perform daily checks of pressure and material percentage gauges and calculate foam shot times for parts based off values from quality control tests.
- Move parts in and out of foam press.
- Foam parts.
- Operate crane to move parts.
- Perform daily shutdown and cleaning of the foam gun.
- Verify foam room temperature multiple times daily.
