About The Position

Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, is hiring a Machine Operator II for its onsite production operations in Santa Isabel, Puerto Rico. The role is responsible for setting up, calibrating, and operating machinery used in production, helping ensure equipment functions correctly and efficiently and that manufacturing operations meet production standards. Candidates must reside in Puerto Rico when employment begins; relocation is not offered. U.S. citizenship is required because the position involves access to information under a program or contract. A post-offer vision examination must be completed successfully.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent (such as a U.S. GED), or vocational/technical education in a related discipline.
At least 1 year of relevant experience.
Professional or educational experience communicating in English and Spanish, both verbally and in writing.
U.S. citizenship.
Must reside in Puerto Rico at the time employment begins.
Must successfully complete a post-offer vision examination and be able to see, read, and interpret information on screens and materials for extended periods.

Responsibilities

Follow verbal or written instructions, diagrams, or models.
Inspect machining operations and finished products against specified tolerances using precision measuring tools.
Perform routine maintenance and cleaning.
Set up and operate production machinery according to established procedures and guidelines.
Use computer-controlled equipment to select, position, and secure automatic or semi-automatic machines.
Control and adjust machine settings to complete routine tasks according to specifications.
May perform calculations and assist with numerical control programming.
Accurately see, read, and interpret information on screens and materials for extended periods.
