About The Position

Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is hiring a Machine Operator II for first-shift hours, with core hours of 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The hourly rate is $22.73. The role involves operating and troubleshooting production machinery, processing parts to shop orders, checking and documenting quality, and supporting inventory and workplace safety.

Requirements

• Communicate effectively in written and verbal English.
• Operate machinery and presses safely.
• Read and accurately interpret blueprints and shop drawings, and produce parts from them.
• Identify different gauges and types of raw material.
• Accurately read tape measures, scales, and calipers.
• Work effectively and productively as a team member with minimal supervision.
• Stand continuously throughout the working shift.
• Lift and bend continuously.
• Regularly lift 35 pounds without assistance.
• Wear personal protective equipment as required by company policy and procedure.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
• More than 6 months of experience with forming or bending machines.
• More than 6 months of experience reading drawings or blueprints.
• Experience confirming that parts conform to specifications using measuring tools.

Responsibilities

• Understand and proficiently operate assigned machines and presses.
• Troubleshoot machinery problems.
• Identify and tag tubs according to shop orders.
• Perform quality control and document all parts run on machines.
• Retrieve and enter data into the SAP computer system.
• Inventory components and supplies as needed to support efficient, timely production.
• Keep work areas clean and safe.
