About The Position

Machine Operator II – 3rd Shift   Hours 10:30 PM – 7:00 AM, Sunday Evening thru Saturday Morning. Perform set-up of work centers and assist other technicians when needed. Employees may perform other related duties as required to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.   Essential Responsibilities: Must be able to perform all job functions as a Clean Room Machine Operator Level 1.  Assist with equipment operation, material processing, and maintenance tasks within your skillset. Support production by addressing equipment or material issues and escalating problems as needed. Monitor work center performance and recommend improvements to methods, equipment, and product quality. Collaborate with supervisors and team members to identify and resolve production challenges. Contribute to team motivation and assist supervisors in implementing improvement plans. Diagnose and troubleshoot tooling, machinery, and processing malfunctions, report issues to the Supervisor. Follow supervisor instructions to coordinate activities across individual work centers. Support operators by covering breaks, transporting materials and scrap, and assisting with raw material handling. Access and complete required production forms and documentation using the Brentwood Intranet ISO drive. Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with 5S and housekeeping standards. Follow Good Documentation Practices in alignment with QMS and EMS requirements. Perform all tasks in accordance with established Quality and Environmental Management Systems. Carry out additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor to support team and production goals. Essential Skills: EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, OTHER: Experience/Ability to use hand/power tools such as tape measures/wrenches/drills/etc.   LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating, and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondences, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to apply basic mathematical skills such addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.   Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Employees are required to lift/carry up to 50 lbs. and to push/pull up to 40 lbs. Objects handled may include scrap material, various plastic products, packaged goods, oversized finished goods, hand carts, die inserts and mounting assemblies, various tools and parts, tool cart, roll bars, hydraulic carts, and using rails, sliders, doors, and other assists on machine. Employees are constantly required to stand, reach forward, handle objects, touch/finger/feel objects, use fine hand coordination, and use simple hand grasping. Employees are frequently required to walk, reach overhead, balance, stoop, use firm hand grasping, and operate controls. Employees are occasionally required to sit, climb stairs, kneel, and crouch. Work environment is subject to seasonal change from ambient conditions to hot/cold and/or wet/humid conditions.  Employees are surrounded by moving equipment including, but not limited to, machines, pallet jacks, hand carts, and hydraulic lifts; and vibrations from air hoses when using.
