Requirements

  • Practical understanding of SQF and HACCP.
  • Ability to read imperial and metric measurements.
  • Ability to accurately identify raw material defects.
  • Ability to understand visual and auditory cues to identify production or machine related issues.
  • Ability to accurately record all necessary information for production and quality records.
  • Ability to perform minor machine maintenance and preventive maintenance.

  • May assist in training new employees.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by leadership including but not limited to cross training, general and plant sanitation, inventory management, training, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all health and safety policies/procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Adhere to food quality and food safety standards.
  • Read, comprehend, and adhere to a production manufacturing schedule, and communicate issues or deviations.
  • Maintain production flow of machine(s) by monitoring issues, supplying raw materials, and performing minor servicing.
  • Follow all Quality Assurance and Production line standard operating procedures.
  • Perform equipment changeovers according to standard operating procedures, reading imperial and metric measurements.
  • Accurately record all necessary information for production and quality records, including downtime reports.
  • Perform equipment and general sanitation in the work area.
  • Collaborate with all departments to improve quality, increase efficiencies, and reduce waste.
  • Accurately identify raw material defects.
  • Assist in training new employees.
  • Understand visual and auditory cues to identify production or machine related issues.
  • Perform minor machine maintenance as well as daily and weekly preventive maintenance.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by leadership, including cross-training, sanitation, inventory management, and training.
