About The Position
Norfolk Iron & Metal is seeking a Machine Operator for their Processing Division. This hands-on role offers a consistent night shift schedule with 3-day weekends every week. The position involves operating various machinery, monitoring production for safety, quality, and efficiency, inspecting materials, and working collaboratively to meet daily production goals while adhering to all safety and quality standards.
Requirements
- Successful completion of drug test and background check.
- Willing to Learn: No experience required – we will train you!
- Safety: Must be able to follow all safety guidelines
- Physical Demand: Able to meet the requirements necessary to perform the job.
Responsibilities
- Operate Flat Lasers, Tube Lasers, Press Brakes, and Saws
- Monitor production to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency
- Inspect material to meet customer specifications
- Work as part of a team to hit daily production goals
- Follow all safety and quality standards
