About The Position

Essential Job Functions: Monitor the process and show an awareness of issues and demonstrate corrective actions to address those issues (troubleshooting, problem solving.) Answer machine alarms as they occur and address the root cause. Check and maintain quality of the product being produced by identifying acceptable and non-acceptable product in accordance with the Quality policy. Pack, label, and palletize product correctly according to the Standard Work or Work Instruction Sheet. Start-up and shutdown of injection molding machine including auxiliary equipment. Perform mold changes in a timely manner. Establish IMM processes and complete PCR inspections as required. Adheres to safety policies and strives to maintain our outstanding safety record. Maintain a clean and safe work area and report any unsafe working conditions. Follow all lock out/tag out rules. Operate overhead crane safely. Work independently from verbal and/or written instructions from Supervisor and Lead. Keeps work area, tools, supplies and equipment clean and organized. Read, use, and interpret measuring devices, gauges, and inspection tools. Perform and document inspections per GMP for work instruction sheet, on device history sheet records, and work instruction sheet tables. Provide training to new team members and cross training. Other Job Functions: Performs other job-related and department-related duties as assigned. Communicate with Technicians, Maintenance, Quality Control and Warehouse Staff. Supervisory Responsibility: None

Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic computer skills: Windows, Microsoft Word.
  • Able to calculate basic math.
  • Able to follow basic verbal and written instructions.
  • Able to identify visual plastic product defects.
  • Basic knowledge of plastic processing and troubleshooting of thermoplastics.
  • Ability to repair and perform all necessary preventive maintenance on equipment.
  • Must be mechanically inclined with an ability to use basic hand tools.
  • Experience: At least 3 years’ experience in a technical hands-on position preferred.
  • Must have excellent attendance record.
  • Ability to work safely and with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to clearly communicate and interact with all levels of personnel professionally.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal directions and complete work independently.
  • Ability to adhere to workplace rules.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Able to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Standing, walking, bending, reaching, kneeling.
  • Ability to push and pull items.
  • Ability to climb up and down ladders.
  • Possibility of exposure to noise, uncontrolled temperatures, and chemicals.
