About The Position

Machine Operator I sets up and operates a production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. The role secures and maintains the materials and supplies needed for the operation, and helps ensure production work is completed safely and to established quality standards.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of experience in manufacturing and/or assembling.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED is preferred but not required.
• Working knowledge of basic math is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete work area setup.
• Operate and feed the machine safely and efficiently, following established procedures.
• Stack completed products according to established procedures; when required, cover, label, and band components or finished products.
• Keep the work area safe, clean, and organized, and ensure equipment is safe to operate.
• Complete pre-shift or startup equipment inspection checklists and report problems or concerns.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
• Maintain production records as required.
• Check materials and finished products for compliance with standards.
• Perform duties in accordance with established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards.
• Participate in safety, continuous improvement (CI), and other programs and meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
