This role is responsible for operating various types of machinery, as needed, and as described by assigned leadership. The job is an individual contributor with no direct reports. The Machine Operator will set up assigned equipment daily according to the production schedule and product specifications, and disassemble it for sanitation at the end of each day. Responsibilities include monitoring equipment operations, troubleshooting basic malfunctions, and notifying supervision and maintenance staff of significant issues. The role involves data recording, entry, and adjustment, calibrating systems, and recording/interpreting temperatures related to the process. Additionally, the operator will use, read, and record measuring devices and product parameters, perform daily equipment monitoring with corrective actions, and collaborate with maintenance on preventative maintenance programs and best practices. The position requires notifying management of unusual or out-of-spec operations, performing general housekeeping duties to maintain a safe and clean work area, and taking ownership of equipment and machinery. Compliance with organization policies, including safety, good manufacturing practices, food safety, and employment rules, is mandatory. This role has the responsibility to understand and implement appropriate safety procedures through education, training, use of protective equipment, and adherence to safety policies, regulations, standards, and laws.
