As a Heat Treat Operator you'll be part of our team located in Mont pelier, IN. You’ll get to: Start up and shut down heat treat equipment (includes initial setting and adjusting of all controls and gauges) Move work to charge end of furnaces Load and unload work from furnaces Check and adjust all controls and gauges Inspection of completed parts, which includes the keeping of records Clean and maintain necessary gauges Work in other departments on as needed basis, as directed by supervisor Operates PIV as needed to move part bins, load machines Maintain housekeeping standards Must be able to work overtime Any other duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagrammatic or schedule form
  • Apply principles of rational systems to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Follows appropriate housekeeping procedures according to company guidelines
  • Ability to operate a torque wrench and/or machines
  • Basic mathematical understanding and ability (add, subtract, divide units of measurement)
  • Practical application of proportion and geometric construction
  • Organized -ability to maintain orderly work stations and tool crib area

Responsibilities
