MACHINE OPERATOR - GR SURFACE TREATMENT
About The Position
Performs a variety of manual operations on machinery related to surface finishing. Responsible for the daily production of surface finishing of slides and barrels and/or rifle components following standard operating procedures to achieve GLOCK quality and production goals. Utilizes hand-tools such as files and de-burring tools to achieve set specifications. Performs quality inspections making visual checks to assure compliance with specifications; examines parts for surface defects and damage. Performs quality control using custom measuring equipment. Operates manual and semiautomatic machines. Maintains work station by cleaning equipment and work area with appropriate materials.
Requirements
- Must have the ability to meet daily production goals.
- Experience with hand-tools
- Ability to pay close attention to details.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to perform shift work.

Responsibilities
- Responsible for the daily production of surface finishing of slides and barrels and/or rifle components following the standard operating procedures (working instructions) to achieve GLOCK quality and production goals.
- Utilizes hand-tools such as files and de-burring tools to achieve set specifications.
- Performs quality inspections making visual checks to assure compliance with specifications; examines parts for surface defects and damage.
- Performs quality control using custom measuring equipment.
- Immediately reports errors in production and performance to Manufacturing Supervisor / Machine Adjuster.
- Operates manual and semiautomatic machines.
- Maintains work station by cleaning equipment and work area with appropriate materials.
