About The Position

The Range Utility will perform various jobs including Assistant Range Operator on the Range (Entry & Exit), and Carmelizer Operator and Packer IV on the Carmelizer. This role is responsible for producing quality fabric, recognizing and correcting unacceptable quality, and performing work safely according to job procedures. The operator may be asked to run other jobs based on staffing needs or production requirements and must ensure the job is left in proper order for the incoming shift. Additionally, the role involves assisting Maintenance with repairs, performing 5S activities for a safe and organized work environment, participating in Lean initiatives, and conducting daily hoist inspections.

Responsibilities

  • Perform jobs on the Range (Entry & Exit) as Assistant Range Operator.
  • Operate the Carmelizer and perform Packer IV duties.
  • Produce quality fabric and identify/correct unacceptable quality.
  • Perform work safely and follow all job procedures.
  • Operate other jobs as needed due to staffing or production requirements.
  • Leave the job in proper order for the incoming shift.
  • Assist Maintenance with repairs to ensure quick turnaround on breakdowns.
  • Perform 5S activities to maintain a safe and organized work environment.
  • Participate in Lean initiatives, including QDIP boards and Kaizan events.
  • Inspect the hoist at the beginning of each shift using a checklist.
