Requirements

  • Proven experience operating fiber laser cutting machines or similar CNC equipment in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of CNC programming, CAD design software such as SolidWorks or similar tools
  • Familiarity with Fanuc controls, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and automation systems used in manufacturing processes
  • Knowledge of blueprint reading, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and fabrication techniques
  • Hands-on experience with tooling setup on press brake machines, stamping presses, CNC mills/lathes, and materials handling equipment like forklifts
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately and work efficiently within an assembly line setting
  • Prior factory or manufacturing facility experience emphasizing quality control, machining accuracy, and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor fiber laser cutting machines with precision, ensuring adherence to specifications and quality standards
  • Set up machine parameters using CNC programming, CAM programming, and blueprint reading to produce accurate parts
  • Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration of fiber laser equipment to maximize efficiency
  • Utilize mechanical knowledge and hand tools for material handling, fabrication, and tooling adjustments
  • Conduct quality control checks using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions
  • Maintain detailed documentation of production runs, machine logs, and inspection reports
  • Participate in 5S and Kaisan activities and projects.
  • Follow safety protocols diligently while handling materials, tools, and machinery on the factory floor
  • Other duties as assigned.
