About The Position

The Bernard Group is a 100% employee-owned visual merchandising company that leads the retail industry in design and production. They are looking for an experienced CNC Operator to join their team. This role will produce machined parts by setting up and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine. Shifts available are Sunday through Tuesday from 5:45 am to 5:45 pm. Requirements

A high school diploma or GED
Three years of experience in a CNC role
Worked in a manufacturing environment for 2-5 years
Worked in a fast-paced mid-size company
The ability to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis
Thorough and organized approach to work
Close attention to details on every project
Basic computer skills, including Pace and Google Suite
Self-motivated, a fast learner, and show initiative to seek out customer and corporate needs
Ability to plan, prioritize, coordinate, and manage work
Ability to complete projects accurately within deadlines, while meeting Company quality standards
Effective time management and self-management skills
Understand and maintain the confidential nature of company, employee and customer information
Flexible to change
Able to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing
Strong interpersonal skills including, demonstrated listening skills and the ability to present ideas and thoughts concisely and effectively both internally and outside the organization

Responsibilities

Configure the CNC by entering instructions, set tool registers, offset and conditional switches
Load machine with work pieces
Verify settings by measuring the positions, first run part and sample workpieces
Maintain specifications by observing operations, detecting malfunctions and troubleshooting processes
Perform Quality Control (QC) procedures to meet Company standards
Perform basic maintenance of the CNC
Complete miscellaneous projects and complete various tasks as requested by management
