Requirements

Four years of directly related experience.
HS Diploma or GED equivalent

Responsibilities

Sets up and operates CNC lathes to perform threading operations on experimental, individual or quantity parts or rods.
Selects mounts and aligns various machine attachments, standard or improvised tooling.
Sets and adjusts speeds, feeds, and depths of cuts where applicable.
May be required to edit programs.
Conducts inspection to ascertain threaded rods meet Norris and/or API specifications using various precision and non-precision instruments, templates and go/no-go gauges.
Records inspection data for purposes of maintaining statistical information.
May be required to attach protector in coupling and/or attach coupling on rod end to proper tightness.
Monitors feed table and straighten improperly placed rods.
Performs routine maintenance on the equipment including cleaning, adjusting and maintaining proper fluid levels and filters.
Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
May be assigned other duties as required.
