We are currently hiring a Machine Operator (CNC) for our Bedford, PA Manufacturing Facility. Note: Satisfactory background check and negative drug screen required. We are hiring for 2nd and 3rd shift: Monday-Friday 2:00pm - 10:30pm, Sunday-Thursday 10:00pm-6:30am. Overtime required.

Requirements

  • Attention to detail, safety and quality
  • Basic Microsoft Office/Windows knowledge is beneficial
  • Capable of solving problems and using good judgment in making decisions
  • Ability to read and work from prints, schematics, and technical bulletins
  • Ability to read tape measures and use good rudimentary math skills
  • Capable of lifting 50 lbs. and standing for long periods
  • Physical stamina and strength
  • High school diploma or equivalent required

Responsibilities

  • Prepare machine for production by positioning and securing material
  • Determine sequence of operations by studying blueprints, specifications, and work orders
  • Regulate machining by setting and adjusting controls
  • Maintain specifications by observing operations; detecting malfunctions; inspecting parts; adjusting controls
  • Resolve production problems by altering process to meet specifications, notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources
  • Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs
  • Documents actions by completing production and quality logs
  • Contributes to team effort working in other areas as needed
