About The Position

The primary functions of the position are the skilled and precise assembly of Damper components and systems. This role involves assembling parts, pieces, and/or products using a variety of tools and/or equipment according to required specifications, processes, and procedures in a production area within a manufacturing environment. The Machine Operator/Assembler ensures that all parts fit correctly and are suitable for the final product, uses various equipment to join, fasten, and connect parts, and handles electrical wiring tasks, including connecting motors, control panels, sensors, and switches. This role also requires reporting incidents, faulty operations, or product imperfections, recording daily production and maintaining production quotas, maintaining records of assembly activities, loading raw materials, and troubleshooting and diagnosing issues that arise during the assembly process. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be able to read/write.
  • Must be able to read tape measure.
  • Must be able to use wire cutters, crimpers, screw drivers, saw, & electric drills.
  • Must be able to operate press.
  • Must be able to work 10 hours days 4 days a week.
  • Must be able to work OT.
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years manufacturing or mechanical assembly experience.
  • Must be in good physical condition.
  • Must have good eye/hand coordination.
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. routinely.
  • Must be able to sit stand and/or bend for long periods of time (Varied based on daily tasks)
  • Use of one or both feet or legs to move controls on machinery or equipment. Controls include, but are not limited to, pedals, buttons, levers, and cranks.
  • Holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with the hand(s). Note: Fingers are involved only to the extent that they are an extension of the hand to hold or operate a tool such as pliers.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble parts, pieces and/or products using a variety of tools and/or equipment according to required specifications, processes, and procedures in an area of production in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ensure that all parts fit correctly and are suitable for the final product.
  • Use various equipment to join, fasten, and connect parts.
  • Handle electrical wiring tasks, including connecting motors, control panels, sensors, and switches.
  • Reporting incidents, faulty operations, or product imperfections.
  • Record daily production and maintain production quotas on Duro Dyne forms.
  • Maintain records of assembly activities, including documenting any modifications, defects, or adjustments made during the assembly process.
  • Load all raw materials as needed.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues that arise during the assembly process.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
