Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent, or previously demonstrated experience.
  • Effective verbal and written communication.
  • Work in a team environment.
  • Ability to follow directions accurately and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Comfortable working in a group environment and as a team player.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Adhere to company safety requirements and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and follow all safety guidelines.
  • Communicate well to others and work within a team environment.
  • Skilled in using hand tools, small powered equipment, and fixtures/jigs.
  • Strong ability to work with small components and attention to detail.
  • Capable to inspect workmanship and identify defects effectively.
  • Ability to distinguish between different colors as required for assembly and inspection tasks.
  • Continuously grasp and manipulate small plastic parts and place in machines.
  • Frequently sit, stand and walk.
  • Occasional lifting up to 50lbs and carrying up to 25lbs.
  • Occasional pushing, pulling, twisting, balancing and stopping.
  • Continuously perform visual inspections on parts.
  • Must be capable of working in a cleanroom environment for extended periods of time, following all cleanroom protocol while wearing ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) accessories.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in assembly or manufacturing is preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of soldering techniques (IPC J-STD-OO1 certification is a plus).
  • Willingness and capability to obtain soldering skills and certification if required.

Responsibilities

  • Use hand tools to combine components to build electro-mechanical devices.
  • Follow specific instructions and guidelines to ensure assembled products meet required quality standards.
  • Assemble electro-mechanical devices.
  • Assemble components or products according to detailed procedures and technical specifications.
  • Use various hand tools (screwdrivers, pliers, tweezers), small powered equipment (electrical screwdrivers), and fixtures/jigs to perform assembly tasks.
  • Work efficiently with small components, ensuring precision and accuracy during assembly.
  • Inspect assembled products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Identify and report defects in components or assemblies to Lead Operator, Supervisors, Quality personnel, or Engineering.
  • Accurately complete documentation related to assembly work and product inspection.
