About The Position

The Machine Operator - Paint is responsible for operating powdercoat (blades) and liquid (holesaw) paint equipment. The role involves setting up and operating the paint line, handling product, monitoring and maintaining equipment, and verifying product quality while following safety requirements and production standards.

Requirements

• Understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Basic math skills.
• Basic mechanical skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and shut down the paint line.
• Load and unload product on the paint line.
• Recognize equipment problems, respond to them, and make adjustments as required.
• Inspect and verify product according to quality standards.
• Use a paint thickness gauge to verify paint thickness.
• Hone the turnover belt for powder application.
• Perform daily preventative maintenance on paint line equipment.
• Inspect, clean, and change out paint gun tips.
• Perform frequent walk-throughs to ensure equipment is operating properly.
• Change out and add paint as required.
• Check and clean reclaim hoppers.
• Maintain production pace and standards.
• Adhere to all safety requirements in the work area.
• Practice 5Ss.
• Work in dust, vapors, and similar conditions.
