About The Position

The Machine Operator - Paint operates powdercoat (blades) and liquid (holesaw) paint equipment. The role involves setting up and operating the paint line, maintaining equipment and product quality, and following safety and production standards. The position is identified as 1st shift.

Requirements

• Understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Basic math skills.
• Basic mechanical skills.
• Ability to work in dust, vapors, and similar conditions.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and shut down the paint line.
• Load and unload product on the paint line.
• Recognize equipment problems and make adjustments as required.
• Inspect and verify products according to quality standards.
• Use a paint thickness gauge to verify paint thickness.
• Hone the turnover belt for powder application.
• Perform daily preventive maintenance on paint line equipment.
• Inspect, clean, and change out paint-gun tips.
• Conduct frequent walk-throughs to ensure equipment is operating properly.
• Change out and add paint as required.
• Check and clean reclaim hoppers.
• Maintain production pace and standards.
• Adhere to safety requirements in the work area.
• Practice 5S.
