About The Position

Lexington Manufacturing is seeking an experienced CNC Specialist to join their manufacturing team. This role involves making component solutions for buildings worldwide. The ideal candidate is passionate about continuous improvement, problem-solving, and taking ownership of machine performance. The CNC Specialist will independently set up, operate, troubleshoot, and optimize CNC equipment, serving as a key resource to maintain productivity, quality, and machine uptime. This role requires extensive CNC experience, comfort with diagnosing machine issues, making program adjustments, reading blueprints, performing setups, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The schedule is Monday-Thursday, 4:15 p.m. to 2:45 a.m., with a pay range of $30-$35/hour.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of CNC machining experience
  • Experience setting up and operating CNC equipment independently
  • Experience troubleshooting CNC machine issues and identifying root causes
  • Experience making program edits and performing light CNC programming
  • Strong blueprint reading skills
  • Proficiency using measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with wood-processing CNC equipment
  • Experience mentoring or training operators
  • Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience
  • Advanced CNC programming experience

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC machinery safely and efficiently
  • Troubleshoot machine, tooling, quality, and program-related issues
  • Perform light CNC programming and program modifications as needed
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
  • Verify part quality using measuring and inspection equipment
  • Perform machine adjustments and optimize machine performance
  • Support preventive maintenance efforts and equipment reliability
  • Communicate effectively with production, maintenance, and leadership teams
  • Train and assist other operators as needed
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
