About The Position

Performs operational work related to the receipt, shipment, storage, distribution, or delivery of products, parts, and materials. Loads, unloads, moves, or stores items according to delivery or routing documents or supervisor instructions, and operates heavy equipment. The operator must be proficient in operating three of the listed machines and consistently meet or exceed target production levels.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• One year of heavy industrial machine operations experience.
• Operating certificate for equipment, obtained independently or through the company.
• Good eye-hand coordination.
• Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out instructions.
• Annual OSHA forklift training.

Nice To Haves

• Wood products experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate three machines proficiently from the following list: Forklift, Knuckle-boom, Runaround, Wood Boiler Support, Prentice Support, Endplate Station Support, and Trimmer Support.
• Complete daily inspection and maintenance reports for the assigned machine and identify operational issues.
• Perform daily maintenance for the assigned machine.
• Take initiative to aid supervisors in ensuring procedures are followed correctly.
• Participate in and contribute to the company safety program.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
• Load, unload, move, or store items according to delivery or routing documents or supervisor instructions.
