About The Position

The Machine Operator 1 is responsible for operating less complex equipment based on assigned work to effectively and efficiently process all work/jobs in accordance with Symcor and SLA procedures, requirements, and required SLA deadlines. This role involves transferring finished product/output to the appropriate area (e.g., bin, staging area) and troubleshooting basic equipment problems to resolve issues and resume production. This is a Fixed Term Role for 6 months.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
1 to 3 years related experience
Equipment Vendor certification as required
Knowledge of Symcor’s routine procedures
Knowledge of client work instructions
Knowledge of any equipment or software related to assigned work and related procedures

Responsibilities

Operate assigned equipment to process daily client jobs with 100% accuracy and in accordance with client requirements.
Transfer finished product/output to the appropriate area.
Perform checks during machine operation to ensure quality of production/work being produced and that specifications are met.
Set up machine according to specifications and ensure availability of appropriate materials in preparation for production.
Perform daily preventative maintenance on assigned machine to ensure optimal operating efficiency in accordance with specific machine maintenance procedures.
Troubleshoot basic problems/issues associated with assigned equipment based on prescribed instructions.
Escalate unresolved issues based on escalation procedure.
Explain situations, provide information, and receive information and instructions during internal interactions.
Request and provide information and explain issues pertaining to the machine and steps taken to resolve issues during external interactions with on-site equipment vendors.
