About The Position

As a Machine Operator 1 at MKS, Inc., you will partner with Manufacturing Operations to machine parts to specifications. You will report to the Supervisor, Manufacturing/Operations. The role involves operating automatic or semi-automatic production machines, following process sheets or supervisor instructions, and checking work against predetermined tolerances. The scheduled hours are 3:40 p.m. to 12:10 a.m., Monday through Friday.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of related experience.
• Production experience.
• Basic reading, writing, addition, and subtraction skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Good manual dexterity and coordination.
• Ability to communicate information clearly and exchange accurate information.
• Dedication to safety when handling mechanical and electrical hardware, high voltage, gas, water, and heat.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Ability to use a micrometer and caliper.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of automatic or semi-automatic machines used in production.
• Perform production tasks by following process sheets or written or verbal instructions from a supervisor.
• Check and inspect operations against predetermined tolerances.
