About The Position

Machine Operator I sets up and operates a production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. The role also secures and maintains the materials and supplies needed for the operation. The operator helps ensure products meet established standards and that the work area and equipment remain safe, clean, and organized.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• A minimum of 6 months of experience in manufacturing and/or assembling is required.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED is preferred but not required.
• Working knowledge of basic math is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete work area setup.
• Operate and feed the machine safely and efficiently according to established procedures.
• Stack completed products according to established procedures and, if required, cover, label, and band components or finished products.
• Ensure the work area is safe, clean, and organized and that equipment is safe to operate.
• Complete pre-shift or startup equipment inspection checklists and report problems or concerns.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
• Maintain production records as required.
• Check materials and finished products for compliance with standards.
• Perform duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards.
• Participate in safety, continuous improvement, and other programs and meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Secure and maintain materials and supplies required for the operation.
