About The Position

This is an AWW2 position: Friday-Sunday 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM. The Machine Operator 1 will be responsible for operating a variety of production machines, performing routine operations, and producing blades while conducting quality checks. This position requires shift work and the ability to work overtime when needed. Training may be required on 1st shift, 2nd shift, or AWW1. The operator will work on the Blades Grind Line operations, follow work instructions, and demonstrate understanding of quality and production. The role requires broad knowledge of machine shop practices, methods, and techniques, including knowledge of cutting qualities of metal, machining, fabrication, and tooling. The operator will work from drawings and sketches, use advanced shop mathematics, and a variety of precision measuring instruments. They will also work from drawings and operation sheets, using decimals and fractions, and a variety of precision measuring instruments, requiring knowledge of machining methods.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
  • Previous Manufacturing experience or education or Advanced Manufacturing Certification

Nice To Haves

  • 2 or more years Machine Operator or Manufacturing Experience
