About The Position

Williams International is seeking a Maintenance Technician for their 1st shift. This role involves the troubleshooting, diagnosis, maintenance, repair, and operation of various computerized numerical control (CNC) and manually operated machines. These include multi-axis precision machines, mills, lathes, CMM, balance, inspection, laser-welders, plasma spray, heat treat, welding, electrostatic discharge machines (EDM), X-Ray, robotic, drills, grinders, hone, lap, and deburr equipment. The technician will perform preventative maintenance (PM) tasks, identify and resolve equipment issues, and may also work on facilities equipment. The role requires working with hot equipment and in hot areas, necessitating strong safety practices. A thorough understanding of manufacturing practices and procedures, the ability to interpret blueprints, customer specifications, and internal drawings, and the skill to coordinate and solve equipment and facility problems are essential. Continuous improvement recommendations for processes and procedures are expected. The position requires advanced knowledge of maintenance practices, testing methods, and equipment, and may involve training and guiding lower-skilled team members.

Requirements

  • High School or GED
  • Working toward degree or certificate within industrial automation or other relative technical discipline OR 2 - 5 Years of maintenance or manufacturing experience.
  • Good mechanical skills with wrenches, specifically heavy wrenches, and tools are required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance, if needed.
  • Must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

  • Train, provide guidance, and assist in developing lower skill level team members.
