About The Position

The Machine Maintenance Technician diagnoses, troubleshoots, and repairs a range of electrical and mechanical equipment to help keep the facility safe, clean, and efficient. The role is onsite in Bloomington, Illinois, and is listed for a three-month duration. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with a pay rate of $26.21 per hour.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of relevant mechanical/electrical experience or training.
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems, including 110V, 220V, and 480V, hydraulic pumps, and troubleshooting 24V power supplies.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Proactive, safety-minded problem solver who takes pride in a job well done.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with machine tool setups, way covers, and ATC/APC repair.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair plant electrical and mechanical systems in a timely manner.
• Work with electrical systems ranging from 24V power supplies to 480V, as well as hydraulic pumps, switches, air lines, and hoists.
• Perform preventive maintenance on machines, HVAC, and AC systems.
• Manage shop coolant and water reclamation systems.
• Maintain an organized inventory using the Crib Master system.
• Keep the work area clean, safe, and hazard-free.
