About The Position
This is a temp-to-hire position for a Facility & Equipment Maintenance Technician on the 1st Shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday – Friday) in Davenport, IA. The pay rate is $18.00+ per hour, commensurate with experience. The role offers eligibility for permanent conversion after 90 days. Requirements
- At least 6 months in a manufacturing environment, combined with 2+ years of dedicated industrial machinery maintenance experience.
- Proficient with basic shop arithmetic (fractions/decimals) and reading simple mechanical drawings.
- Hands-on familiarity with precision measuring tools like calipers, micrometers, and scales.
- A stable work history showcasing solid employment longevity.
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Responsibilities
- Works under supervision to assist in the maintenance, installation, and repair of machinery, fixtures, utilities, buildings, and grounds.
- Execute work orders using machine layouts, plant schematics, and detailed technical sketches.
- Safely handle a wide range of hand tools and portable power equipment.
- Partner with the broader maintenance crew during large-scale equipment reconfigurations and installations.
