About The Position

TTI Consumer Power Tools, Inc. has an opening in its Anderson, SC Distribution Center for a Lead Machine Maintenance Technician – Night Shift that will lead technicians across all skill levels and driving long-term reliability and performance of facility and production equipment. This role combines hands-on technical expertise in automation, electrical systems, HVAC, and facilities maintenance with strategic leadership, workforce planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • 8–12+ years of machine maintenance experience, preferably in manufacturing or distribution environments.
  • 5+ years of leadership or supervisory experience in technical teams.
  • Proven experience managing complex maintenance operations and projects.
  • Advanced knowledge of: Mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of: PLC programming, diagnostics, and automation systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of: Robotics, HMI systems, and industrial networking (Ethernet/IP, DeviceNet).
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills across multi-system environments.
  • Associate degree in Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, or related field preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education, certifications, and experience considered.

Responsibilities

  • Lead maintenance technicians across all levels; provide coaching, and mentoring.
  • Partner with senior leadership on capital planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Act as the primary liaison between maintenance, operations, engineering, and leadership teams.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase equipment reliability and uptime.
  • Oversee troubleshooting and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and automated systems.
  • Provide expert-level diagnostics on PLCs, robotics, control systems, and material handling equipment.
  • Support and optimize automated warehouse and manufacturing processes.
  • Lead installation, upgrades, and modifications of machinery and facility systems.
  • Ensure accurate maintenance documentation, reporting, and compliance with operational standards.
  • Oversee and support maintenance across multiple disciplines, including: Electrical systems (motors, controls, wiring, lighting, safety systems), HVAC systems (maintenance, repair, compliance, building management systems), Plumbing and piping systems, Building infrastructure and carpentry.
  • Ensure preventive maintenance is executed on all equipment and systems.
  • Monitor facility systems and respond to alarms, failures, and critical events.
  • Plan and prioritize daily and long-term maintenance activities.
  • Coordinate work orders, PM schedules, and emergency repairs.
  • Lead maintenance efforts during critical downtime or emergency.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental, and company safety standards.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture across the maintenance team.
  • Maintain accurate logs, inspections, and regulatory documentation (e.g., EPA/HVAC records).
