About The Position

This role is responsible for repairing and maintaining machinery and mechanical/electrical equipment. The technician will perform inspections, troubleshoot issues to determine root causes, and repair or replace broken parts. The position involves disassembling machines, adjusting functional parts, cleaning and lubricating components, ordering replacement parts, and ensuring equipment meets specifications after repairs. The technician will also adapt procedures and tools for special needs and serve as a resource for complex problem-solving.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older
2 years prior machine maintenance experience
Strong mechanical/electrical understanding of complex equipment
Use of basic hand tools and power tools
Knowledge of machine tools and their use
Knowledge of basic electrical and electronic repairs

Nice To Haves

HS/GED
3 years prior machine maintenance experience
Good written and verbal communication skills
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Mechanical aptitude
Ability to follow diagrams, schematics, manuals, instructions and engineering specifications

Responsibilities

Repairs and maintains machinery, mechanical/electrical equipment through inspection, troubleshooting, and evaluation to determine root cause of problems.
Disassembles machines and repairs or replaces broken parts.
Adjusts functional parts of mechanical devices as necessary.
Cleans and lubricates parts, orders replacement parts, inspects completed repairs and returns equipment to specifications.
Adapts procedures, techniques, tools, materials and/or equipment to meet special needs.
Serves as a resource to others in the resolution of complex problems and issues.
