About The Position

This role is responsible for repairing and maintaining machinery and mechanical/electrical equipment. The position involves inspection, troubleshooting, and evaluation to determine the root cause of problems. The mechanic will disassemble machines, repair or replace broken parts, and adjust functional parts as necessary. Responsibilities also include cleaning and lubricating parts, ordering replacement parts, inspecting completed repairs, and ensuring equipment returns to specifications. The role may also involve adapting procedures, techniques, tools, materials, and equipment to meet special needs and serving as a resource to others for complex problem resolution.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older
2 years prior machine maintenance experience
Experience with basic hand tools and power tools
HS/GED
Strong mechanical/electrical understanding of complex equipment
Knowledge of machine tools
Mechanical aptitude
Knowledge of basic electrical and electronic repairs
Good verbal and written communication skills
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to follow diagrams, schematics, manuals, instructions and engineering specifications

Responsibilities

Repairs and maintains machinery, mechanical/electrical equipment through inspection, troubleshooting, and evaluation to determine root cause of problems.
Disassembles machines and repairs or replaces broken parts.
Adjusts functional parts of mechanical devices as necessary.
Cleans and lubricates parts, orders replacement parts, inspects completed repairs and returns equipment to specifications.
Adapts procedures, techniques, tools, materials and/or equipment to meet special needs.
Serves as a resource to others in the resolution of complex problems and issues.
