As a Maintenance Mechanic you will be responsible for scheduling and performing routine preventative maintenance and service for each piece of equipment. The Maintenance Mechanic will perform emergency and preventative repairs on various types of machinery, including mechanical, electrical and hydraulic and identify and replace worn or defective parts in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required
  • 4+ years of maintenance mechanical experience required (high-speed packaging and/or manufacturing environment preferred)
  • 2+ years of electrical experience (120-480v)
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to perform in a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent Interpersonal, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Time Management and Organization
  • Ability to multi-task and react to changing priorities

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues on production and packaging equipment with minimal supervision
  • Diagnose and repair pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems across the facility.
  • Maintain and repair packaging equipment including fillers, conveyors, palletizers, and bottling systems.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and safety inspections to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
  • Troubleshoot and repair pumps, motors, and variable speed drives used in plant operations.
  • Complete basic electrical troubleshooting including sensors, relays, photo-eyes, and motor connections (120V–480V).
  • Install, modify, and repair conveyor systems including roller, belt, chain, and Intralox conveyors.
  • Use CMMS (MaintainX) to document maintenance activities, work orders, and completed repairs.
  • Support equipment installations, relocations, and modifications to improve production processes.
  • Utilize shop tools and fabrication equipment to complete repairs and equipment modifications.
