Machine Learning Engineering Technical Leader

Cisco•San Jose, CA
•$256,900 - $333,400

About The Position

Outshift, Cisco’s incubation engine, is building the Internet of Cognition: a shared semantic layer that enables agents and humans to reason together. The Senior AI/ML Engineer will turn concepts such as shared context, shared intent, and coordinated reasoning across distributed agents into scalable, production-grade systems. This is a senior individual-contributor role, not a management position. The engineer will make technical decisions, develop hands-on solutions, and support the growth of other engineers through technical leadership, mentorship, and strong engineering practices. The team values implementation, collaboration, and open-source work.
