About The Position

The Machine Bundler accurately bundles cut fabric and leather pieces produced by cutting machines. The role is based in the Arhaus Upholstery furniture manufacturing plant in Conover, North Carolina, and is part of the Cutting department. The position is non-exempt, full-time, and hourly, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 6:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.; overtime and weekend work may be required. The position reports to the Cutting Supervisor and receives minimal supervision, with no supervisory responsibilities or direct reports.

The work takes place in a heated and cooled manufacturing plant with concrete floors. The job requires reading production tickets, handling bundles, standing and walking for at least eight hours per day, and safely using a variety of cutting supplies. Required PPE includes safety glasses and close-toe/close-heel shoes when required.

Requirements

• Manufacturing experience.
• Ability to read a production ticket.
• Good vision.
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
• Ability to work safely with a variety of cutting supplies.
• Basic math skills.
• Team-player attitude and a positive attitude.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision.
• Reliable personal transportation.
• Ability to stand and walk for at least eight hours a day.
• Ability to work weekends and overtime.
• Reliability.
• Strong English reading and comprehension skills, speaking and writing skills, and communication skills.
• Ability to follow safety policies and procedures to prevent injuries to yourself and others.
• Ability to wear required PPE, including safety glasses and close-toe/close-heel shoes when required.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in furniture manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Accurately put cut fabric and leather pieces from cutting machines together into bundles.
• Correctly label and tag each bundle.
• Carry or push bundles to the Sewing department.
• Cut denim as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager.
