About The Position

The Machine Attendant ensures production machines are operational before start-up, sets up machinery, and monitors film forming and pouch sealing. The role includes adjusting seals and markers, changing film for different product types, and printing correct product information on bags. Film changes may require handling material weighing up to 80 pounds. The position also involves completing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Able to stand for long periods (8+ hours) on concrete.
• Able to work with minimal supervision.
• Able to lift 80 pounds.
• Basic math skills.
• Basic mechanical aptitude to work with and adjust machines.
• Able to work safely around sharp blades.
• Able to understand English and document.
• Capable of using mechanical tools, such as different sets of wrenches.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all machines are operational before start-up.
• Set up machines and ensure film is forming and sealing pouches correctly.
• Adjust sealing and markers as needed.
• Change film as needed for product types; film may weigh up to 80 pounds.
• Print correct product information on bags.
