About The Position

The Machine Assistant assists with the complete setup and operation of a designated machine, converting corrugated sheets to customer specifications and Great Northern Container – Chippewa Falls quality and efficiency standards. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The position offers opportunities to learn skills and advance to other roles with higher pay, both locally and nationally.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of fractions, decimals, and percentages.
• Ability to follow verbal, written, or diagrammatic instructions.
• Ability to identify and distinguish colors.

Nice To Haves

• One year of manufacturing or machine-related experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the complete setup and operation of a designated machine.
• Convert corrugated sheets to customer specifications and company quality and efficiency standards.
• Solve problems and make adjustments to equipment, processes, procedures, and products to meet specifications and quality standards.
• Meet deadlines effectively.
