About The Position

This is an internal posting for CTF members only for the MA103 A Calculus I course in Fall 2026. The course will cover limits and continuity; differential and integral calculus of functions of a single variable; the Mean Value Theorem; determination of extrema; the Fundamental Theorem of Calculus and techniques of integration; and an introduction to series. The mode of delivery is in-person with a lecture type of instruction. The anticipated class size is 130 students. The term is Fall 2026, with classes scheduled on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9:30 am to 10:20 am, totaling 3 hours per week and 36 hours total. There are no additional course requirements.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Mathematics or Statistics
  • MA or MSc degree in Mathematics or Statistics
  • Ability to prepare course documents using LaTeX.
  • Internal members of the CTF bargaining unit as defined by Article 13.7.2.17.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare course documents using LaTeX.
  • Teach MA103 A Calculus I course covering limits and continuity; differential and integral calculus of functions of a single variable; the Mean Value Theorem; determination of extrema; the Fundamental Theorem of Calculus and techniques of integration; and an introduction to series.
  • Deliver lectures for the course.
  • Potentially perform marking and grading duties.
  • Coordinate large classes or multi-section courses if applicable.
