About The Position
We are a high-end cocktail lounge offering a refined, intimate atmosphere with elevated cocktails, curated small plates, and exceptional service. Our space blends luxury hospitality with a vibrant nightlife energy, attracting a sophisticated clientele. We are seeking a polished, professional Maître D’ to be the first and last impression of our guests’ experience. This role is essential in setting the tone for service, managing reservations and flow, and ensuring every guest receives a warm, seamless, and elevated welcome.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as a Maître D’ in an upscale restaurant, lounge, or nightlife setting
- Strong presence, polished appearance, and confident demeanor
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and stay composed in a high-energy environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Nice To Haves
- Experience with reservation systems (e.g., OpenTable, Resy)
- Experience working with VIP clientele and high-volume environments
- Background in luxury hospitality or fine dining
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests with poise, warmth, and professionalism
- Manage reservations, guest lists, and table assignments with precision
- Control the flow of the room to maintain optimal service and ambiance
- Communicate effectively with management, servers, and security
- Handle VIP guests, special requests, and high-profile clientele with discretion
- Maintain an organized entrance, host stand, and waiting area
- Provide accurate wait times and manage guest expectations
- Uphold the venue’s standards of presentation, hospitality, and service
