About The Position

The purpose of this engagement is to obtain a qualified SharePoint Online Administrator to plan, design, administer, modernize, and optimize SharePoint Online sites, flows, and configurations. The SharePoint Online Administrator will align SharePoint Online technical capabilities with business goals and objectives to provide a platform that supports exceptional customer service, efficient business processes, professional employees, innovative technology, and strategic partnerships.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business field. Years of experience may substitute for formal education.
• 5+ years of experience providing development support for SharePoint Online (Office 365), Microsoft 365 hybrid infrastructure, Microsoft Windows, advanced permissions, and Microsoft Entra ID.
• 5+ years of experience with SharePoint Framework (SPFx) for customizing and integrating Microsoft 365 applications.
• 5+ years of experience with front-end design, User Interface (UI), and User Experience (UX).
• 5+ years of experience implementing SharePoint roadmap enhancements and changes and developing technical runbooks.
• 5+ years of experience creating and maintaining workflows and Power Automate configurations.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft SharePoint Online best practices and technical documentation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for business and technical audiences at all levels of the organization.
• Ability to stay abreast of the Microsoft development lifecycle management process.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Server Team Manager and work within the Server Team.
• Collaborate with Server Team members, Business Unit Directors, Managers, and staff.
• Provide front-end SharePoint Online support to all end users.
• Collaborate with business units to improve functionality, governance, user experience, advanced permissions, and operational efficiency.
• Design and develop intranet solutions, including custom layouts, workflows, and automation.
• Apply strong UI/UX design principles to create user-friendly and accessible interfaces.
• Deliver modern and scalable solutions using SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 tools.
• Work with cross-functional teams to automate business processes.
• Ensure SharePoint solutions are secure and accessible.
• Enhance and optimize the SharePoint Online tenant as new Microsoft features become available and existing features are deprecated.
• Promote SharePoint Online capabilities and help improve organizational understanding, adoption, functionality, and usage.
• Design, administer, and maintain sites, subsites, and links.
• Apply Microsoft Entra ID architecture best practices to manage security groups, advanced settings, and permissions.
• Configure SharePoint site permissions and streamline Owner, Member, and Visitor roles.
• Perform site and content permission audits based on organizational requirements.
• Work with site owners to enhance the functionality of departmental SharePoint Online sites and subsites.
• Manage site layout structures, content, workflows, and automation.
• Provide SharePoint Online technical and functional support to end users.
• Provide SharePoint functionality training to the training department and end users.
• Review and monitor SharePoint usage reports.
• Perform site cleanup and remove unused sites.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation of SharePoint Online services and settings.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation of SharePoint Online configuration and architecture.
• Provide regular updates to the Project Team.
• Stay current with the Microsoft platform and functionality roadmap.
• Evaluate and incorporate relevant new Microsoft capabilities as they become available.
• Manage site quotas and file-size limits.
• Collaborate with teams to conceptualize and integrate other Microsoft 365 applications with SharePoint Online.
• Plan, organize, review, and implement associated project milestones through completion.
• Create and maintain architecture diagrams and technology navigation maps.
• Configure and manage site collections, hubs, libraries, lists, and permissions.
• Implement and maintain SharePoint governance standards.
• Define and maintain taxonomy, metadata, and content-management policies.
• Manage the complete SharePoint environment lifecycle, including site provisioning, archival, and decommissioning.
