About The Position

Cornerstone Retirement Community, affiliated with Methodist Retirement Communities (MRC), is seeking a Full-Time Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for its Skilled Nursing unit. Cornerstone is a 5 STAR Community and is certified in the Eden Alternative Registry, focusing on person-directed care. The LVN will work from 6am to 6pm.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited vocational school of nursing.
• Current Texas or Texas compact LVN/LPN license required.
• Models a service attitude toward others, takes ownership in solving problems and takes the initiative.

Nice To Haves

• Training or experience in geriatric, psychiatric or medical/surgical nursing desired.
• Knowledgeable of human development, including the processes of aging, and of social and health problems confronting older persons.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to residents in the Skilled Nursing unit.
