About The Position

Amentum is seeking an LVC Training Systems Operator to support the Naval Information Warfare Training Group (NIWTG). This position is approximately 80% technical/Operations and 20% policy. There will be a training component that will enable the team to expand their knowledge as the training classrooms and labs develop and systems and networks are integrated. Your support will include liaison with IWTG leadership, IWTG contract team and staff in the operations of IWTG LVC/training system classrooms and labs. Support Live-Virtual-Constructive development and the accomplishment of IW training objectives. Assist the government in the development of Live-Virtual-Constructive policy and the integration and development of basic through advanced Live-Virtual-Constructive training scenarios as part of fleet training requirements. Operate and maintain system classrooms and labs in support of Fleet synthetic training, Fleet live training, LVC events, and inter-service training and exercises. Assist the government in support planning and execution plans and documents. Provide advice, and consultation associated with integration of IW systems and Naval platforms (i.e., Aegis, IW simulators, live training support systems, etc.) to achieve stated capabilities. Assist the government in developing an IW mission/LVC strategy and establishing evaluation and certification criteria as part of LVC training. In addition to a thorough understanding of the training architecture, qualified candidates will be familiar with the feeds that support these systems (e.g., IBS, CMS, JREAP, HLA, OTH Gold, etc.). Operate JSAF and the set-up/maintaining networks and training systems (TACSIM, STALLION, GALE, ICOP, JTT, BFTT, etc.) For STALLION, it will include support in-house (U-132 and aboard ship). Integrate with NCTE backbone. Provide train the trainer sessions.

Requirements

  • Must have an active TS/SCI US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a TS/SCI Clearance.
  • 6+ years demonstrated expertise in the field of LVC and IW Training Systems.
  • 4+ years demonstrated expertise in the field of Navy Instructional methodologies.
  • Experience with Joint Semi-Automated Forces (JSAF), Battle Force Tactical Trainer (BFTT), STALLION, or other HLA/DIS modeling tools
  • Experience with Navy Continuous Training Environment (NCTE) NTB.
  • Experience with M&S federation tools such as LVC Analysis Workstation (JAWS).
  • Working knowledge of and experience with shipboard combat systems and associated training systems
  • Working knowledge of and experience with Common Operational Picture.
  • Proficiency in the use of MS Office tools
  • Working knowledge of training curriculum standards and development.
  • Well-developed personal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing to produce finished products, liaise with current and potential customers, prepare and present briefing documents, charts, graphs, and presentations.
