About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a LVA Assembler - Weekend Shift. The hourly rate for this position is $19.50 per hour. The shift hours are 7:00am to 7:30pm. Please note that the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Requirements

  • Able to lift 35 pounds – waist, shoulder, overhead
  • Able to read blue prints and wiring diagrams
  • Proven history of safe work habits
  • Must be able to work effectively without direct supervision
  • Computer skills – Microsoft Office, Internet, etc.
  • Must be able to work overtime – weekdays and weekends

Nice To Haves

  • A high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • Mechanical/Electrical background

Responsibilities

  • Perform winding, assembly, complex and repetitive wiring, and to produce complete sub-assemblies, and final assembly of control equipment.
  • Check electrical / mechanical performance of completed assemblies.
  • Works from drawings, engineering specifications, and manufacturing information to complete assembly and wiring of control equipment.
  • Determines necessary parts and material and prepares requisition to obtain parts and material from stock.
  • Prepares wire for assembly by cutting, stripping, and attaching terminals.
  • Route out, assembles, wires, adjusts, fits and modifies parts, components, and sub-assemblies to form completed control assembly.
  • May require lifting, bending, ladder work and other forms of movement.
  • Checks electrical / mechanical performance of completed assemblies to ensure conformance to Asheville Plant quality standards and makes necessary adjustments and alignment when required.
  • Executes engineering and customer changes and makes repairs as required.
  • Reports irregularities or equipment malfunctions to coach.
  • Maintains records as required.
  • Observes all safety and hygiene rules and regulations.
  • Maintains work area in a neat and orderly manner.
  • Operator of power tools, including battery powered and compressed air.
