About The Position

Reed City High School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Lunchtime Supervisor for a part-time role. The position helps provide a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for students during lunch periods. The supervisor works collaboratively with students and school staff to encourage positive behavior and improve the lunch experience.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to relate to students of various ages.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude toward working with students.
• Must pass background checks required by school policy.
• Availability to work during lunch periods on school days.

Nice To Haves

• Additional education or experience in education or child development.
• Previous experience working with children or in a school setting.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students during lunch periods to ensure their safety and appropriate behavior.
• Assist with meal distribution and monitor food service areas for cleanliness and organization.
• Engage with students to foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere during lunch.
• Address behavioral issues or conflicts and report them to appropriate staff.
• Support students with special needs as required to help ensure a positive lunch experience.
• Collaborate with teachers and school staff to promote a supportive lunch environment.
• Assist with cleaning lunch areas and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
• Participate in staff meetings and training sessions as needed.
